A major administrative and political controversy has erupted in Odisha after the state government initiated a police investigation into the alleged disappearance of two significant inquiry reports that were reportedly submitted to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) during the previous administration.

According to government officials, the missing documents include reports related to two high-profile incidents that attracted widespread public attention and had significant legal and social implications. The second missing document concerns the investigation into the devastating fire at a private medical facility in Bhubaneswar in 2016. The tragedy claimed the lives of 22 people and prompted extensive inquiries into safety standards, emergency preparedness, and administrative responsibility.
