A 30-year-old woman from Gujarat is in critical condition after a gun accidentally went off inside a store in Louisiana, USA. As per reports, the bullet passed through her mouth and jaw, causing severe injuries.
The incident reportedly happened on April 4, 2026 at a grocery store in Bossier city. The woman, Jigisha alias Soniya Gajera, was with her husband, Sharad Gajera, when the gun fixed at close range.
According to reports citing police, the weapon was in her husband Sharad Gajera’s possession during a conversation with the store owner. Sharad was arrested on April 21, 2026 for illegal use of a weapon after he surrendered to the police.
As per reports, medical experts say Sonia’s treatment will take a long time and will include multiple surgeries, such as jaw reconstruction and dental implants. A crowdfunding campaign has been started to help pay for her medical expenses. The goal is $2,00,000.
Soniya had reportedly moved to the United States to build a better future. She wanted to become a cosmetologist and was working part-time, as per reports..
