Tensions are running high  in Nepal as people have started protesting against the government led by newly elected PM Balen Shah, just a few weeks after he came to power. The protests took place in the capital Kathmandu and other cities, with students, political groups, and common citizens coming out of the streets.

According to reports, one of the reasons behind the protest is a new rule where people have to pay customs duty on goods worth more than ₹100 brought from India. People living near border areas are unhappy because they depend on buying daily items from across the border. They feel this rule will increase their expenses and make life difficult.

Another issue is related to student unions. Reports say the government has taken steps to remove student unions linked to political groups. This has led to thousands of students to protest, and many were seen protesting in their school uniforms, holding placards and shouting slogans.

There is also pressure on Home Minister Sudan Gurung as he faces allegations of illegal wealth and being involved in financial irregularities. Protesters and opposition leaders are demanding his resignation, saying the matter raises serious concerns.

As protests continue to grow, the government is facing pressure from all sides. What started as small protests has now become a bigger political issue, with people demanding answers and changes from the government.
