Driver may have lost control

Police have begun an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.

Officials are reportedly examining the possibility that the driver may have fallen asleep while driving. The vehicle suddenly veered out of control, crossed the divider and plunged into the drain before hitting the wall.

Investigators are expected to examine the condition of the vehicle, the driver’s movements and other circumstances surrounding the journey to determine the precise cause of the crash.

Passengers were travelling to Khatu Shyam temple

The passengers were travelling from Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan to visit the Khatu Shyam temple, one of the state’s prominent pilgrimage destinations.

The group had reportedly started its journey from Betul on Friday night. The accident occurred during the early morning hours while the vehicle was passing through Kota district.
