Russian President Vladimir Putin has strongly backed India’s independent foreign policy, asserting that no external force can dictate New Delhi’s decisions regarding its relationship with Moscow. Reaffirming the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries, Putin dismissed attempts by Western nations to influence or weaken India-Russia ties.

Speaking during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Russian leader described India as a dependable and trusted partner, emphasizing that bilateral relations have continued to expand despite growing geopolitical tensions and international sanctions imposed on Russia.

Strong Support for India’s Independent Foreign Policy
