Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates during the latest edition of the Rozgar Mela, reaffirming the Union government’s commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment across the country. Addressing appointees through a virtual event, the Prime Minister congratulated the selected candidates and emphasized that the nation has placed immense trust and responsibility in the country’s young workforce.

The Rozgar Mela initiative, launched as part of the government’s broader employment mission, has emerged as a significant platform for accelerating recruitment across various central government departments and organizations. During his address, the Prime Minister said the newly appointed employees would play a key role in strengthening governance, improving public services, and contributing to India’s long-term development goals.

Speaking directly to the recruits, Modi highlighted that government service is not merely a profession but also an opportunity to serve the nation with dedication and integrity. He noted that India’s youth are central to the country’s economic transformation and social progress, adding that the confidence shown in them reflects the aspirations of a rapidly growing nation.

The appointment letters were issued to candidates selected across several ministries and departments, including railways, home affairs, health, education, financial services, labour, and postal services. Recruitment has been carried out through multiple agencies such as the Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, and Railway Recruitment Boards, among others.

During the event, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of transparency and efficiency in the recruitment process. He stated that technology-driven systems and streamlined procedures have helped speed up hiring while ensuring fairness and accountability. He encouraged newly appointed recruits to continue learning and upgrading their skills to meet the demands of a modern and globally competitive economy.

The Prime Minister further emphasized that the youth entering public service today are joining at a crucial period in India’s development journey. As the nation advances toward becoming one of the world’s leading economies, he said the contribution of government employees will remain vital in ensuring efficient governance and citizen-centric administration.
