India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held high-level discussions with the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation across trade, energy, digital innovation, and people-to-people ties. The talks underscored both nations’ commitment to deepening engagement within the Global South framework and enhancing mutually beneficial partnerships.
Focus on Expanding Strategic Cooperation
During the discussions, both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction with the steady progress achieved in recent years. The engagement highlighted the shared interest in expanding cooperation in key strategic sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure development, and technology-driven solutions.
