New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday on September 17 drew greetings from leaders across the political spectrum, including prominent figures from the opposition.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi extended his wishes on X, writing, “Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji a happy birthday and good health.” Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also sent greetings, saying, “Best wishes to Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and long life.”

Sharad Pawar, Chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), posted a warm message stating, “On the occasion of your birthday, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to you… I wish for the continued progress of our nation under your able guidance.”

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav joined in, writing, “Heartfelt birthday greetings to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, along with best wishes for a healthy, meaningful, harmonious, inclusive, and positive life.” Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shatrughan Sinha also wished the PM, sharing a throwback photo with the caption, “Once a friend always a friend indeed!!!”
Prime Minister Modi, born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, marked his milestone birthday with the launch of two key national initiatives — the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ and the ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ (National Nutrition Month). These programs aim to strengthen women’s health and nutrition across the country.
As part of the celebrations, AIIMS Delhi will organize medical check-up camps at four locations. PM Modi is also scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh, where he will officially inaugurate both initiatives and address the public.
