In a shocking domestic violence case, a double murder was reported in Rohini Sector 17, Delhi, on Saturday. Police officials stated that a man allegedly killed his wife and mother-in-law over a family dispute. The accused, identified as Yogesh Sehgal, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The deceased were identified as Priya Sehgal, aged 34, and her mother Kusum Sinha, aged 63. The incident reportedly occurred around 3:50 pm, following which a PCR call was made to the KNK Marg police station reporting the killings.

Police reached the flat on the third floor and found the blood-soaked bodies of the two women. Investigators recovered a pair of scissors and blood-stained clothes, suspected to have been used in the crime.

Priya’s brothers, Megh Sinha and Himalaya Sinha, alleged that Yogesh Sehgal was responsible for the murders. Himalaya revealed that Kusum had gone to Priya’s house for a birthday celebration, and a family dispute over party expenses may have triggered the incident. He also stated that Priya had faced harassment for several years, with multiple complaints filed with the police.

Authorities confirmed that Priya’s two children are safe but traumatized. A detailed investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances and motive behind the killings.
