Pune Woman and Six-Year-Old Son Found Dead; Police Investigate Eight-Page Note
A tragic incident in Maharashtra’s Pune district has prompted a police investigation after a woman and her six-year-old son died on Friday evening. Authorities have recovered a seven-to-eight-page handwritten note from the family’s residence and are examining its contents to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The incident reportedly took place at approximately 6:30 pm in a residential society in the Dange Chowk area of Pune. The woman and her young son were found in the building’s duct area. Police officials subsequently reached the location and initiated an investigation.

According to preliminary information, CCTV footage from the residential complex showed the woman and her son travelling to the building’s 18th floor using an elevator. Investigators are examining the footage as part of their efforts to reconstruct the sequence of events.

Police Recover Seven-to-Eight-Page Note From Family’s Residence

One of the significant developments in the investigation is the recovery of a handwritten note from the family’s home. Police officials are examining the seven-to-eight-page document to understand the woman’s circumstances and identify any factors that may have contributed to the incident.

According to preliminary reports, the note reportedly contained references to the woman’s concerns about her husband’s future. It allegedly expressed her wish that he should remarry and continue his life after her death.

The document also reportedly discussed her concerns about her young son’s future and how he might cope with her absence. Investigators are examining these statements alongside other available evidence.

However, police have not yet established a definitive reason behind the incident. The contents of the note are being treated as part of the ongoing investigation, and further conclusions will depend on the examination of evidence and statements from people connected to the family.

Family Had Been Living in Pune for Two Years

According to information shared by a police official, the family originally belonged to Rajasthan and had been residing in the residential complex for approximately two years.

The family lived on the building’s seventh floor. The woman’s husband works as an IT professional in Pune.

Investigators are gathering information about the family’s background, residential circumstances and other relevant details that could help clarify the events leading up to the tragedy.

Police are also examining the available CCTV footage to establish the timeline and verify the sequence of events before the woman and her son were found.Pimpri-Chinchwad deaths: Police examine note after mother and son die in building fall - Pune News | India Today

Police are looking into her health-related circumstances as part of the broader investigation. However, no official conclusion has been announced linking her medical condition to the incident.

Authorities are expected to examine all relevant circumstances rather than rely on any single piece of information while determining what happened.

Bodies Sent for Post-Mortem Examination

Following the incident, the bodies of the woman and her son were shifted to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

A forensic team was also called to the residential complex to assist with the investigation and examine the relevant evidence at the scene.

The woman’s relatives have been informed about the incident. Police are continuing to collect information and examine the evidence available to them.

Senior Inspector Vitthal Salunkhe of Wakad Police Station confirmed that an investigation was underway to establish the circumstances that led to the deaths.

Investigation Continues

The recovery of the handwritten note, examination of CCTV footage and investigation into the family’s background are among the important aspects of the case.
