The highly anticipated Telugu film Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, will not release on its originally scheduled date of September 25. The makers have announced that the release has been postponed, with a new date to be revealed later.
The production team shared the update on social media, describing the film as “a festival of cinema” and citing the scale of the project and high audience expectations as reasons for the delay. They explained that re-recording, VFX, and post-production work require additional time to ensure the film delivers a “theatrical experience worth the wait.”
In their statement, the team emphasized that they are working tirelessly to maintain uncompromised quality, breathtaking visuals, and an unprecedented cinematic experience. The film also stars Harshaali Malhotra, known for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the banner of 14 Reels Plus, presented by M Tejeswini Nandamuri.
