India’s right-arm fast bowler Harshit Rana has expressed confidence ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, stating that he is “fully prepared” for the upcoming tournament in the United Arab Emirates, scheduled from September 9 to 28. India will begin their campaign against the hosts UAE on September 10 in Dubai, followed by a high-profile clash against Pakistan on September 14. Their final group stage match will be against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

Speaking to ANI, the 23-year-old highlighted his preparation, saying, “It’s been almost one month of playing in the DPL. I am fully prepared for the Asia Cup, having played 20-over cricket for some time now.” He also described India’s bowling unit as “very stable,” crediting senior pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh for bringing valuable experience to the squad, which will benefit the young fast bowlers.

Rana added, “India has a very stable bowling unit right now, like in the Asia Cup squad, there are players like Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh who bring experience to the side, which will help a lot.” The Super 4 stage of the tournament will run from September 20 to 26, with the final scheduled to be played in Dubai on September 28. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4 stage. If India finishes first in Group A, all their Super 4 matches will be held in Dubai; if second, one match will be in Abu Dhabi and the other two in Dubai.

The Team India squad for the Asia Cup 2025 includes captain Surya Kumar Yadav, vice-captain Shubman Gill, and key players such as Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson (WK), Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh. Reserve players include Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
