Sunita Ahuja are once again making headlines over divorce rumours. As per recent reports, Sunita Ahuja has officially filed for divorce in the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024, citing serious allegations against the actor. According to Hauterrfly, she has sought separation under Section 13(1)(i), (ia), and (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, accusing Govinda of adultery, cruelty, and desertion.

Following the petition, the court issued a summon to Govinda. However, he reportedly did not appear until a show-cause notice was sent in May 2025. Despite the legal proceedings, both parties are said to be attempting to reconcile. Since June, they have been involved in court-mandated counselling sessions, although Sunita has been attending in person, while Govinda’s participation remains unclear—whether virtual or absent.

This development comes despite previous denials from Sunita regarding any marital discord. Speaking to ABP earlier, she dismissed the rumours with a strong statement, saying people will always talk but the truth lies with the couple.

Back in February 2025, Govinda’s lawyer and family friend told India Today that Sunita had filed for divorce around six months prior, but the couple had resolved their issues and reconciled. The lawyer had insisted that the couple was living together, even citing their spiritual trip to Nepal for New Year’s and a visit to Pashupatinath Temple as evidence of their bond.

As of now, the legal status of the divorce remains uncertain, and it is unclear whether reconciliation is still possible.
