A convoy of black SUVs, including Mahindra Scorpio and Kia Seltos, created chaos on the Gurugram-Delhi expressway by blocking traffic, playing loud music, and performing dangerous stunts. In a 19-second viral video, a man can be seen sitting on top of a moving car, grooving to music with a national flag attached to the car’s bonnet. Several other men were spotted leaning out of sunroofs, recording videos, and throwing traffic rules to the wind, creating panic among commuters.
The video also shows a series of vehicles parked on the roadside, with men standing outside and filming the scene. The man seen on top of the car is said to be a Haryanvi actor, smiling and posing for the camera while standing on the seat through an open sunroof.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the vehicles and individuals involved in this reckless act. The incident has sparked outrage over road safety violations and misuse of vehicles for social media stunts.
This is not the first such case in the region. Earlier this month, a similar incident occurred near Gurugram’s Sector 108, where nearly two dozen cars blocked a key intersection near residential complexes like Sobha City and Experion Heartsong. Videos from that episode showed men standing on the seats of a Mercedes-Benz convertible with the roof down, while others filmed the act from nearby vehicles. Residents complained that the vehicles were fitted with illegal sirens, causing loud noise and halting traffic for more than seven minutes.
