Mumbai: Actress Kajol is preparing to return as Noyonika in the upcoming second season of ‘The Trial’.

On Wednesday, the producers announced details regarding the second season, confirming its release on JioHotstar on September 19, 2025.

The series, directed by Umesh Bist and produced by Banijay Asia, features a talented cast including Jisshu Sengupta, Sonali Kulkarni, Sheeba Chadha, Alyy Khan, Kubbra Sait, Gaurav Pandey, and Karanvir Sharma.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new season, Kajol stated, “Professionally, this year has been incredibly fulfilling for me – I’ve had the opportunity to delve into a variety of characters and narratives, and among them, Noyonika holds a special place in my heart. Transitioning from an underdog in the first season to establishing herself in the competitive legal arena has been a joy. I truly look forward to sharing what we have crafted this season with all of you. It has been a heartfelt endeavor.”

The Trial – Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha is based on the original U.S. series The Good Wife, produced by CBS Studios in collaboration with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions, with format rights licensed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
