In a heartbreaking event, a minimum of eight individuals lost their lives when a vehicle transporting 13 passengers fell into a gorge in the Muwani area of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Authorities have arrived at the scene and initiated rescue efforts.

The event took place close to Bhandari village in the Muwani region while the vehicle was en route from Muwani to Bokta in the district, as reported by multiple sources. The driver lost command of the vehicle near the Soni bridge, resulting in it plunging into a gorge that is 150 meters deep.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav has confirmed the deaths, indicating that eight people lost their lives at the site. Rescue efforts are ongoing, and the three victims in critical condition have been taken to the local government hospital.
