Metro…In Dino, the spiritual successor to Life In A Metro, was released yesterday and has received enthusiastic reviews from fans.

In the original film, the late Irrfan Khan starred alongside Konkona Sen Sharma, whereas in this new installment, Pankaj Tripathi portrays the role of the actress’s husband.

The filmmakers honored Irrfan by keeping the same character name, Pankaj, in the sequel, which has now been changed to Monty, following Konkona’s suggestion.

The actress has now responded to the comparisons made between Irrfan and Pankaj, stating that the latter has done “more than justice” to the character of Monty.
