A 30-year-old English teacher was brutally murdered inside a school campus in Faridabad’s Sikrona area after the accused allegedly tricked her into coming outside by using the name of her husband, who was commonly known as “Vicky”. The incident shocked the local community and raised concerns over the growing threat of stalking and violence against women.

The victim, identified as Sandhya, was teaching at Saraswati Senior Secondary School when she was informed by school staff that someone named “Vicky” was waiting for her near the school entrance. Since her husband Vikas was often called Vicky, Sandhya believed that her husband had arrived to meet her.

However, instead of finding her husband, she allegedly encountered an attacker waiting with his face covered. According to police, the accused had planned the assault and used her husband’s name as a means to bring her outside the school premises.

CCTV Captures Brutal Attack Inside School Premises

CCTV footage from the school reportedly captured the horrifying sequence of events. The footage showed a man standing near the school gate with his face concealed by a cloth. Moments after Sandhya came out, the accused allegedly grabbed her hand and attacked her with a knife.

The assault continued despite Sandhya’s attempts to escape. Police said she was stabbed multiple times, with initial investigation indicating that she suffered around 20 stab wounds. The footage showed her collapsing on the ground while crying for help.

A school staff member, Tejpal, attempted to intervene and save her, but the attacker allegedly threatened him with the knife and continued the assault. After carrying out the attack, the accused escaped from the spot on a motorcycle without a registration number.

Sandhya was rushed for medical assistance but succumbed to her injuries shortly after the attack.

Accused Arrested Within Two Hours

Following the incident, Faridabad Police launched an investigation and managed to identify and arrest the accused within two hours. The accused was identified as Amit, a 21-year-old man.

Investigators are examining the circumstances behind the murder and collecting evidence, including CCTV footage and statements from witnesses present at the school.

Police officials said the attack appeared to be connected to a previous dispute involving alleged harassment and stalking. 

Previous Complaint Against Accused Over Harassment

According to police officials, Sandhya had earlier worked at a school located in Faridabad’s Kot village. The family of the accused reportedly owned the building where the school operated, which led to Amit’s initial interaction with her.

Police alleged that Amit later began harassing Sandhya. Due to the repeated harassment, she eventually left that workplace and joined Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona. However, the accused allegedly continued following and troubling her.

Sandhya had reportedly approached the police and filed a complaint against Amit. Following the complaint, the accused apologised, but investigators said he continued to hold a grudge against her.

A police officer involved in the investigation said that Sandhya had clearly warned Amit to stop following her and told him that she would take legal action if the harassment continued. The officer added that the accused allegedly became angry after she refused to communicate with him and later planned the attack.

Investigation Focuses on Stalking and Revenge Angle

Police are now investigating the case from the angle of stalking, revenge, and pre-planned violence. The use of the victim’s husband’s name to bring her outside the school has emerged as a key aspect of the investigation.

The incident has triggered concerns among residents and school staff regarding safety measures for women, especially those who report harassment or stalking incidents.

Authorities are expected to present further details as the investigation progresses, while the accused remains in police custody for questioning.
