Husband, Girlfriend Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Newlywed Wife After Month-Long Escape to Nepal

A shocking murder case in Haryana has taken a dramatic turn after police arrested a 25-year-old man and his alleged girlfriend for the murder of his 22-year-old wife. The accused, who allegedly fled to Nepal immediately after the crime, were apprehended upon their return to India following weeks of evading law enforcement.

According to investigators, the victim had been married to the accused only a few months before the incident. Police allege that the murder was carefully planned and carried out with the assistance of the man’s girlfriend, who is significantly older than him. Authorities believe the duo had been in a relationship for nearly three years before allegedly conspiring to kill the victim.

Missing Complaint Led to Murder Investigation

The case surfaced after the victim’s mother filed a missing person complaint, stating that her daughter had disappeared and expressing suspicion about her son-in-law and his family.

Acting on the complaint, investigators searched a rented residence in Manesar, where they discovered the woman’s body inside the bathroom. A preliminary examination indicated that she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, turning the missing person case into a homicide investigation.

The discovery prompted an intensive search operation, as the primary suspects had already fled the area.

Police Suspect Premeditated Crime

According to investigators, the rented accommodation where the alleged murder took place belonged to the accused man’s girlfriend. Police believe the husband brought his wife to the location before allegedly shooting her.

After the crime, the accused allegedly locked the house, abandoned the scene, and escaped together. Investigators suspect the murder was pre-planned and intended to eliminate the victim before fleeing to avoid arrest.

Authorities are continuing to examine whether anyone else assisted the accused before or after the incident.  Gurugram man kills wife news, Man Takes Wife To Girlfriend's Room, Shoots Her Dead. Couple Flees To Nepal

Month-Long Escape Ended After Return from Nepal

Police allege that the accused fled to Nepal shortly after the murder and remained there for more than a month while attempting to evade capture.

After gathering intelligence about their return to India, investigators tracked the duo and arrested them near Rishikesh. They were subsequently brought back to Gurugram, produced before a court, and remanded to police custody for further questioning.

Appearance Allegedly Altered to Avoid Arrest

Investigators claim that the husband attempted to avoid detection by changing his appearance during the period he was on the run.

According to police, he allegedly underwent a hair transplant procedure and got both ears pierced to make identification more difficult. Despite these alleged efforts, investigators successfully traced and arrested both suspects.

Investigation Remains Ongoing

Police are continuing to collect forensic evidence, analyze digital records, examine travel details, and record witness statements as part of the investigation.

Officials are also probing the motive behind the alleged murder and whether the accused had planned the crime well in advance. Further developments are expected as the investigation progresses and additional evidence is examined.
