In a major crackdown on organized crime, police in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district shot dead a notorious gangster carrying a reward of ₹1.25 lakh on his arrest during an armed encounter. The operation was conducted following intelligence inputs regarding the movement of the wanted criminal, who had been evading law enforcement agencies for an extended period.

According to officials, the gangster was facing multiple serious criminal charges and was considered a key figure in several criminal activities across the region. Authorities had intensified efforts to trace and apprehend him due to his alleged involvement in violent offenses and his continued attempts to avoid arrest.
