A police commando lost his life during an anti-drug operation in Manipur’s Thoubal district after being allegedly attacked by a suspected drug peddler, highlighting the growing dangers faced by law enforcement personnel engaged in the state’s ongoing campaign against narcotics trafficking.

The incident occurred during a targeted operation launched by security personnel based on intelligence inputs regarding suspected drug-related activities in the district.
