A minor boy has been apprehended by police in connection with the shooting of a teenager following a heated argument over a chair in South Delhi’s Amar Colony area. The incident, which reportedly stemmed from a trivial dispute, escalated into violence and left the victim injured, raising concerns over rising juvenile involvement in violent crimes in the national capital.

According to investigators, the altercation took place during a local gathering where a disagreement broke out between the accused and the victim over seating arrangements. Witnesses told police that the argument intensified rapidly, leading to a confrontation between the two teenagers. Authorities said the accused allegedly left the spot after the argument and later returned with a firearm.

Police officials stated that the accused allegedly opened fire at the teenager, causing injuries before fleeing the scene. Panic spread in the area immediately after the gunshot was heard, with residents rushing to help the injured boy. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Medical officials said his condition is being monitored closely.

Following the incident, police teams launched an investigation and reviewed CCTV footage from nearby streets and establishments to trace the suspect. Local intelligence and eyewitness statements reportedly helped officers identify the accused, who was later apprehended. 

During preliminary questioning, investigators learned that the dispute was linked to a minor disagreement over a chair at the gathering. Police officials described the escalation from a verbal argument to a shooting as deeply alarming and indicative of growing aggression among youth.
