A fresh political controversy erupted in Uttar Pradesh after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused senior Congress leader Ajay Rai of making objectionable remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress party, however, strongly denied the allegations and claimed that the viral video being circulated online was manipulated using artificial intelligence technology.

The controversy quickly escalated into a major political confrontation between the BJP and Congress, with leaders from both parties launching sharp attacks against each other on social media and during public interactions.

According to BJP leaders in Uttar Pradesh, the remarks attributed to Ajay Rai were disrespectful toward the Prime Minister and reflected what they described as the Congress party’s “negative political mindset.” BJP spokespersons demanded an apology from the Congress leadership and accused the opposition party of indulging in personal attacks instead of engaging in issue-based politics.
