Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Gets Extended ‘Raw and Undekha’ OTT Release for Global Audiences

Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge is preparing for a major digital release, and this time the makers are promising audiences a more intense and expanded cinematic experience. The film’s international streaming debut is set to feature a special “Raw and Undekha” edition, offering viewers additional footage and an extended runtime compared to the theatrical version.

The announcement has generated significant buzz among fans of the franchise, particularly after the film’s remarkable theatrical run earlier this year. The OTT release is expected to introduce a darker, more immersive cut of the film that reportedly includes scenes not shown during its theatrical release.

According to reports surrounding the digital rollout, the streaming version will run approximately three minutes longer than the theatrical cut. While the difference in runtime may appear minimal, industry observers believe the additional footage could provide deeper narrative context, more detailed action sequences, and expanded character moments that were trimmed for cinema screenings.

The extended edition has been marketed as a “Raw and Undekha” presentation, indicating a less restrained and more complete version of the film. The move appears to be a response to fan discussions surrounding previous streaming edits within the franchise, where some viewers had expressed disappointment over trimmed scenes and modified sequences in earlier OTT releases.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge emerged as one of the biggest Hindi-language action films of 2026. The film continued the espionage-heavy narrative established in the first installment and further expanded the franchise’s scale with larger action sequences, political undertones, and emotionally charged storytelling.

Ranveer Singh reprised his lead role in the sequel, delivering an intense performance that received strong audience response during the film’s theatrical run. The film also featured a notable ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, adding further star power to the project.  Dhurandhar The Revenge' box office: Ranveer Singh starrer crosses Rs 1000 crore mark in India - The Hindu

The franchise itself has become one of the most commercially successful action properties in contemporary Hindi cinema. Following the success of the first film, expectations for the sequel were exceptionally high, and the second installment reportedly delivered strong box office numbers both domestically and internationally.

Industry insiders believe the OTT strategy for the sequel reflects a growing trend in Indian cinema, where filmmakers are increasingly experimenting with alternate or extended streaming cuts after theatrical releases. Such versions often appeal to dedicated fan communities eager to experience previously unseen content and director-approved edits.

The international streaming release has also sparked speculation regarding the future of the franchise. Discussions around a possible third installment have already intensified online, especially after recent comments from individuals associated with the production hinted that more developments related to the series may be announced later this year.

While the extended edition is confirmed for international audiences, reports suggest that the domestic streaming rollout could follow a different strategy. There is still uncertainty regarding whether Indian viewers will receive the same expanded cut or a separate version tailored for the local OTT market.

The film’s transition to streaming is expected to further strengthen its global popularity, especially among overseas audiences who closely follow large-scale Indian action thrillers. The franchise has already built a strong fan base through its blend of espionage drama, emotional storytelling, stylized action, and geopolitical themes.

With anticipation continuing to grow, the “Raw and Undekha” edition of Dhurandhar: The Revenge is now positioned as one of the most talked-about OTT releases in Indian entertainment this month, promising fans a more complete and unfiltered version of the cinematic spectacle.
