Co-founder of the banned Pakistani terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba was critically injured after being shot by unidentified assailants in Lahore.

According to local reports, Amir Hamza, a founding member of the group and a close associate of Hafiz Saeed, was targeted outside the office of a news channel. Gunmen reportedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.

Hamza sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.

Security agencies have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made so far, and the attackers remain unidentified.

Hamza is considered a key figure associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and has long been on India’s wanted list for alleged involvement in terror-related activities.

The incident comes amid a series of attacks in recent years targeting individuals linked to anti-India militant groups within Pakistan.
