In a shocking incident that has raised serious concerns over women’s safety, a young woman was allegedly kidnapped, sexually assaulted and thrown out of a moving vehicle on a busy road in Faridabad, Haryana. The incident occurred late at night, and police have arrested two accused in connection with the case.

According to the police, the victim, a 25-year-old woman, had left her family home to visit a friend and was returning late in the evening. While waiting for transport, she was allegedly offered a lift by two men travelling in a van. Trusting them, she agreed to get inside the vehicle.

Instead of dropping her at her destination, the accused reportedly diverted the route towards an isolated stretch on the Gurgaon–Faridabad road. Police sources said the woman was assaulted inside the moving vehicle over several kilometres. In the early hours, near a major crossing in Faridabad, the accused allegedly pushed her out of the vehicle while it was moving at a very high speed, estimated to be around 90 kilometres per hour.

The woman suffered serious injuries after being thrown onto the road, including severe head and facial wounds. She was rushed to a government hospital and later shifted to a private hospital due to the critical nature of her injuries. Doctors have stated that her condition remains serious, and she is currently unable to give a detailed statement.

Following a complaint filed by the victim’s family, the police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Acting swiftly, a special team traced and arrested two suspects. The vehicle allegedly used in the crime has also been seized, and forensic examinations are underway.

Senior police officials said that preliminary interrogation indicates the involvement of the arrested men, though further investigation is ongoing to establish the complete sequence of events. Authorities are also examining CCTV footage from nearby areas and collecting medical and forensic evidence to strengthen the case.

The incident has triggered public outrage, with residents and women’s rights groups demanding strict action and speedy justice. The police have assured that the case will be investigated thoroughly and that no leniency will be shown towards the accused.

As the investigation continues, officials said more details will emerge once the victim’s condition stabilises and she is able to record her statement before the magistrate.
