PM Modi Meets Sikh Sangat, Harshdeep Kaur’s Mool Mantra Performance Goes Viral

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a special meeting with members of the Sikh Sangat on Friday, accompanied by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The meeting, which focused on the sacred ‘Jore Sahib’ of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and his wife Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, has been widely appreciated on social media after PM Modi shared a heartfelt video from the event.

In the video, renowned singer Harshdeep Kaur can be seen beautifully singing the Mool Mantra while PM Modi, with a handkerchief covering his head, is seen sitting with folded hands in reverence. The moment has struck an emotional chord with netizens, who are calling it a powerful display of faith and unity.

The committee of Sikh dignitaries present at the meeting submitted its recommendations for the safety, preservation, and proper public display of the sacred ‘Jore Sahib.’

Sharing the video on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi wrote, “At the meeting with the Sikh Sangat, noted singer Harshdeep Kaur sang a beautiful rendition of the Mool Mantra.”

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who attended the meeting, also expressed his gratitude, writing, “Along with a committee of several eminent and well-known members of the Sikh Sangat, I was deeply privileged to call on Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji to submit the recommendations of the committee for the safekeeping and befitting display of holy ‘Jore Sahib’, belonging to the founder of Khalsa Panth, Dasam Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and his wife Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.”

About the Holy ‘Jore Sahib’
The sacred ‘Jore Sahib’ consists of a pair of footwear — Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj’s right-foot slipper measuring 11 inches by 3.5 inches and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji’s left-foot slipper measuring 9 inches by 3 inches.

The last custodian of these holy relics was the late Sardar Jasmeet Singh Puri Ji, cousin of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. He resided in Delhi’s Karol Bagh, where a street was later named ‘Guru Gobind Singh Marg’ to honor the sanctity of these relics.

The meeting and the shared visuals have been hailed as a powerful message of respect for Sikh heritage and culture.
