A heartbreaking incident was reported from Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday evening, where a 13-year-old girl lost her life after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs.
The victim, identified as Avni Vinokhe, a resident of Samnapur village, was returning home with her friend after visiting the fields when the tragedy struck. While her friend managed to escape, Avni was caught by 4–5 stray dogs, which mauled her severely, leaving deep wounds on her neck and hands.
Hearing her screams, villagers and family members rushed to the spot and immediately took her to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared her dead on arrival. The family described Avni as a bright and lively child, and her sudden death has left the community in shock.
The Kanhiwada Police reached the scene soon after being informed. The station in-charge confirmed that the girl’s body was sent for post-mortem after completing necessary procedures.
This incident has once again highlighted the growing menace of stray dogs in Seoni. Villagers have urged the administration to take strict measures to control the stray dog population and prevent such tragedies in the future.
