Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has debuted a new look just before the start of the Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to begin on September 9. The all-rounder revealed his sandy blonde hair on Instagram with the caption “New Me,” sharing pictures of his freshly cut and coloured hairstyle.
Pandya will play a key role for Team India in the tournament. As one of the senior players, he is expected to contribute both with the bat in the lower middle order and with crucial overs as a bowler. He last represented India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where India clinched the title by defeating New Zealand in the final. Prior to that, he featured in the five-match T20I series against England at home.
Hardik also led the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, guiding the team to Qualifier 2 before losing to Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings in the knockout stage. With 94 ODIs, 114 T20Is, and 11 Tests under his belt, Pandya has amassed 1,812 T20I runs at an average of 27.87 and a strike rate of 141.67, alongside 94 wickets, with best bowling figures of 4/16.
The Indian team, now captained by Suryakumar Yadav, will open its Asia Cup campaign against UAE on September 10, followed by a high-voltage clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 14. The final group-stage match will be against Oman on September 18. The squad has seen major changes following the retirement of former captains Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from T20 International cricket. New talents like Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma have been brought in to strengthen the lineup.
