On Wednesday, August 6, Rajasthan’s former chief minister Ashok Gehlot criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him a “weak leader”.
Gehlot asserted that under Modi’s leadership, India faces mounting challenges on multiple fronts, stating, “US President Donald Trump has consistently made unfounded claims against India, asserting that he has mediated 30 ceasefires between India and Pakistan. Now, he is making decisions detrimental to India’s trade interests.”
He also condemned Modi for failing to directly respond to Trump’s comments, noting that despite various provocations, the prime minister has never publicly addressed the remarks made by the US president.
The senior Congress leader further accused China and Pakistan of openly collaborating against India.
“While our armed forces have responded decisively, India finds itself politically and diplomatically isolated,” he remarked, deeming it a “failure” of Modi’s leadership.
Gehlot claimed, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who prides himself on his ’56-inch chest’, is demonstrating weakness as a leader.”
