Vrindavan’s renowned saint, Premanand Maharaj, has reportedly received a death threat through a Facebook post, sparking outrage among Hindu saints and seers. According to reports, a young man from Satna issued the threat in response to one of Maharaj’s viral videos. The accused wrote in his post, “If he had spoken about my family, I would have slit his throat.” The threatening comment quickly spread across social media, leading to widespread condemnation.
Controversy Over Statement on Youth and Morality
The incident stems from a viral video in which Premanand Maharaj advised young people to live disciplined and moral lives. He criticized the growing trend of boyfriend-girlfriend relationships, calling it detrimental to society. His remarks triggered a wave of controversy and mixed reactions online, eventually provoking the threatening response.
Outrage Among Hindu Saints and Religious Leaders
The death threat has led to strong reactions from Hindu organizations and religious leaders. Dinesh Falari Baba, President of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Nyas, stated, “If anyone dares to even look at Premanand Baba with bad intent, we won’t tolerate it. We are ready to take a bullet for Premanand Baba if needed. The government must take the strictest action against such individuals.”
Mahant Ramdas Ji also condemned the threat, asserting, “It is essential to protect cows, girls, and saints. Anyone who dares to make such remarks against Premanand Baba will not be spared by the saint community.”
