Prime Minister Modi took part in the 17th BRICS Summit taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The leaders engaged in fruitful discussions on various topics on the BRICS agenda, such as reforming global governance, amplifying the voice of the global south, peace and security, bolstering multilateralism, development issues, and Artificial Intelligence.

While addressing the session on Global Governance and Peace and Security earlier today, the Prime Minister emphasized that terrorism poses a significant threat to humanity. He pointed out that the Pahala terror attack in April 2025 was not merely an assault on India, but an attack on all of humanity.

Advocating for decisive global action against terrorism, Prime Minister Modi asserted that those who finance, promote, or shelter terrorists must face the strictest consequences.
