Thiruvananthapuram: On Monday, two migrant workers became trapped when a rock collapsed on them at a quarry in Pathanamthitta, Kerala.
The individuals trapped have been identified as Aji Rai (38), a resident of Bihar, and Mahadev from Odisha. Both were operators of earth movers.

The incident occurred in the afternoon at Payyanamon, near Konni in Pathanamthitta. Quarrying activities have been ongoing in this area for many years.
Although fire and rescue service personnel were dispatched to the location, they faced challenges in reaching the site due to the difficult terrain. An NDRF team is also en route to assist in the rescue efforts.
