New Delhi : On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the heroes of the Santhal Revolution in celebration of Hul Diwas.

He recognized leaders such as Sido-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairav, and Phoolo-Jhano, honoring their bravery and sacrifices in the struggle against foreign domination.

In a message posted on X, Narendra Modi stated, “Hul Diwas serves as a reminder of the unwavering courage and extraordinary valor of our tribal community.

On this significant occasion linked to the historic Santhal Revolution, I sincerely pay tribute and honor to Sido-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairav, and Phoolo-Jhano, as well as all the courageous heroes and heroines who laid down their lives in the fight against the injustices of foreign rule. Their tale of heroism will continue to motivate every generation of our nation to uphold the dignity of the motherland.”
