Monojit Mishra, the primary suspect in the purported gang rape of a 24-year-old student in Kolkata, has an extensive history of criminal offenses.

The 31-year-old, along with two accomplices, has been apprehended and will be held in police custody until July 1.

Authorities stated that Mishra has been charged in numerous prior incidents, including harassment of women, assault, vandalism, and theft. He is implicated in several cases filed at the Kalighat, Kasba, Alipore, Haridevpur, and Tollygunge police stations.
