Hyderabad Aston Martin Crash: MP Lingamaneni Ramesh Says Son Took Victim to Hospital, Vows Cooperation

Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP and Jana Sena Party leader Lingamaneni Ramesh has spoken publicly about the fatal road accident in Hyderabad involving his 21-year-old son, Lingamaneni Sanjush. Ramesh said his son did not ignore the injured woman after the collision and instead took her to a hospital immediately.

The accident took place on August 16 in the Madhapur area of Hyderabad, near Inorbit Mall. A 26-year-old woman, identified as Bharati Mukhi, was fatally injured after being struck by an Aston Martin allegedly driven by Sanjush. Mukhi worked at a retail store inside the mall.

Ramesh, while expressing condolences to Mukhi’s family, said the circumstances surrounding the crash should be established through a proper investigation rather than speculation. He also said his family would provide support to the bereaved family during the difficult period.

MP says son took injured woman to hospital

According to Ramesh, Sanjush was behind the wheel when the accident occurred and immediately transported Mukhi to a hospital. He said his son subsequently informed the police about the incident and provided the authorities with the information required during the investigation.

The statement comes amid public discussion over what happened immediately after the collision. Ramesh maintained that his son did not attempt to evade the authorities and has been cooperating with the investigation.

He also said that three separate medical tests conducted on Sanjush returned negative results. Police had earlier conducted alcohol and drug-related tests as part of their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

Woman suffered fatal injuries

The accident occurred when Mukhi was reportedly crossing the road near Inorbit Mall. Police have identified Sanjush as the accused in the case and alleged that the vehicle was being driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner.

Mukhi sustained severe injuries in the collision. She was taken to a hospital in the same vehicle, but doctors could not save her.

The incident has drawn considerable attention because of the involvement of a high-end luxury vehicle and the political background of the accused’s family. However, the exact circumstances of the collision, including the vehicle’s speed and the sequence of events immediately before and after the crash, remain subject to investigation.

Case registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

Police have registered a case against Sanjush under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with causing death through a rash or negligent act that does not amount to culpable homicide.

Investigators are examining available evidence to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision. The vehicle involved in the accident has also been taken into custody as part of the investigation, while authorities are examining technical and forensic evidence connected with the crash.

The investigation is expected to establish important details such as the circumstances in which the vehicle was being driven, the precise sequence of the collision and whether any other factors contributed to the death.Jana Sena MP's son served only a notice after crashing car, killing woman in Hyderabad

Ramesh rejects allegations of avoiding legal process

Ramesh also sought to address concerns that his family’s political influence could affect the investigation. He said there had been no attempt to conceal information or bypass the legal process.

The MP said his son had complied with the procedures required by the authorities and would continue cooperating with investigators. He expressed confidence that the facts would emerge through a fair and impartial legal process.

His comments came as the case continued to attract public attention, with questions being raised about accountability and the treatment of road accident cases involving politically connected individuals.

Appeal against speculation and misinformation

Ramesh urged people not to circulate unverified claims about the accident. He said the death of Mukhi was a deeply painful event for her family and appealed to the public to respect their grief.

The MP also stressed that the investigation should be allowed to proceed without prejudgment. According to him, the facts should be determined through evidence and the established legal process rather than through speculation on social media or elsewhere.

Investigation remains underway

The Hyderabad crash has raised broader concerns about road safety, responsible driving and accountability following fatal traffic accidents. With police continuing to examine evidence, the final findings will depend on the investigation and the reports submitted by the relevant authorities.

For now, Sanjush remains at the centre of the investigation into the death of Bharati Mukhi. Ramesh has maintained that his son assisted the victim immediately after the crash, informed the police and is cooperating with investigators.

The case is likely to remain under close scrutiny as authorities establish the full circumstances of the accident and determine further legal action based on the evidence collected.
