As per reports, a serious aviation incident was reported from Nepal’s Khuntang district after a helicopter operated by Air Dynasty crash-landed while attempting to land under adverse weather conditions. Despite the severity of the accident, all six individuals on board, including the pilot, were rescued safely. One passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Reports suggest that the helicopter was carrying five members of the same family who had recently returned from the United Kingdom following the death of a family member. The deceased, identified as Manmachi Rai, had passed away in the UK, and her body was transported separately by road to Khuntang for final rites due to space limitations in the aircraft. The rest of the family opted to travel by air to reach the destination quickly.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 11:51 am when the helicopter, registered as 9N-ASQ, lost balance during landing and struck the ground. The aircraft was piloted by Sabin Thapa at the time of the crash. Khuntang’s Chief District Officer, Rekha Kandel, confirmed that all passengers were promptly rescued, as reports suggest.

Reports suggest that strong winds and dust clouds in the landing area significantly affected visibility and stability, making it difficult for the pilot to execute a safe landing. These challenging conditions are believed to have been the primary cause of the crash.

Emergency response teams, including local authorities and police, quickly reached the site following the incident. The aviation company dispatched another helicopter to evacuate the passengers and crew to a safe location. Additionally , authorities have reportedly ordered a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and to assess any potential lapses in safety protocols.
