Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has apologised to neighboring countries for recent attacks and said that Iran has no intention of invading other nations.
He made this statement during a televised speech broadcast on Iranian state television.
The president said that Iran’s temporary leadership council has decided to stop attacks on neighbouring countries. According to the decision, Iran will not launch missiles or carry out strikes unless another country first attacks Iran.
Pezeshkian also said he personally apologies on behalf of Iran to the countries that were affected by the recent strikes. He added that Iran does not have hostility towards neighbouring states and wants to prevent the conflict from spreading further in the region.
The announcement comes during rising tensions in the Middle East after military strikes involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
Recent missile and drone attacks have affected several Gulf countries, Including cities such as Dubai and Doha, causing disruption and increasing regional concern.
Officials say the new policy is meant to reduce tensions and stop the conflict from spreading to more countries in the region. However, the situation in the Middle East remains tense as fighting and military actions continue.
