The gunman who killed two people and wounded 14 others at Austin’s packed bar in USA was believed to be motivated by the attacks on Iran, as the FBI recovered a Quran from his car, and the Iranian flag design on the t-shirt he wore, as per report.
Authorities are reportedly investigating whether the gunman, Ndiaga Diagne, 53, who fatally shot two people and wounded 14 others at a popular bar in Austin’s Sixth Street entertainment district early Sunday, was motivated by the US military operation in Iran.
According to the reports citing police, cops had killed the gunman during the incident and later found that he wore a hoodie that read “Property of Allah” over a T-shirt bearing an Iranian flag design as he opened fire on weekend revelers at Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden. . Following the incident, police found a Quran in the SUV he drove to the area.
As per reports, Diagne first came to the United States on a tourist visa in 2000 and was granted lawful permanent resident status six years later, after marrying a US citizen.
