French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Wednesday that France will simplify visa procedures and expand the number of courses taught in English to attract more Indian students. The aim is to boost student exchange and deepen educational ties between two countries.

At the India institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi, Macron said that both sides have agreed on the target of 30,000 Indian students in France every year by 2030, nearly three times the current level.
He also highlighted that French universities offer high quality teaching and strong research opportunities, and that the changes would make studying in France more practical and appealing for Indian students.
The announcement came during Macron’s official visit to India, part of efforts to strengthen overall partnership between the two countries, including innovation, healthcare, and technology cooperation.
