Jain Community Purchases 186 Luxury Cars in ₹149 Crore Mega Deal, Secures ₹21 Crore Discount Through Collective Bargaining

In an unprecedented display of collective purchasing power, members of the Jain community, under the banner of the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), have purchased 186 luxury cars in a single coordinated move, collectively saving nearly ₹21 crore through bulk negotiations with leading automobile manufacturers.

The large-scale purchase, valued at approximately ₹149 crore, involved premium car brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, and was facilitated through JITO’s Ahmedabad chapter. This initiative, officials said, reflects the growing influence of community-based economic collaboration and could serve as a model for future group deals in India’s premium consumer market.

Mega Deal Saves ₹21 Crore

According to JITO representatives, the total discount across the 186 vehicles amounted to around ₹21 crore, averaging between ₹8 lakh and ₹17 lakh per car depending on the model. The buyers, primarily business owners and professionals from Gujarat and other parts of India, benefited from a uniform negotiation process that leveraged volume commitments to secure preferential rates from car dealers.

A JITO official explained, “When individuals buy separately, discounts are limited. But when the community comes together with assured volumes, manufacturers are willing to negotiate better prices. This is not just a purchase — it’s a demonstration of economic unity.”

Cars Across Brands and States

The vehicles, including several top-end sedans and SUVs, were delivered across major Indian cities. The buyers reportedly received additional benefits such as extended warranties and complimentary servicing packages. The total value of the cars purchased is estimated to be over ₹149 crore before discounts.

A First-of-its-Kind Initiative

JITO, a socio-economic organisation with over 65,000 members across India, coordinated the logistics, financing, and negotiations. Officials said the success of this initiative has inspired similar plans for future group purchases in other sectors such as real estate, electronics, and healthcare equipment.

“This collective model allows community members to access premium products while saving significant costs. It also strengthens the bond among members and promotes ethical business practices,” a JITO spokesperson said.

Luxury Market Takes Note

The bulk purchase has attracted attention from the automobile industry, where such large-scale deals are rare in the luxury segment. Industry experts say the move highlights a shift in consumer strategy — from individual purchases to collective deals aimed at maximizing value.

Automobile analysts noted that the growing wealth among business communities and the appeal of luxury vehicles are fueling innovative buying patterns. For manufacturers, these deals provide guaranteed sales volumes, even if at slightly reduced margins.

Future Plans

Following the success of this purchase, JITO plans to launch ‘Project Utsav’, which will explore collective buying opportunities in other premium categories. The organisation aims to encourage members to pool their purchasing power for mutual benefit while promoting community-driven commerce.
