Jyoti Singh Accuses Actor Pawan Singh of Forcing Abortions, Torture in Public Allegations

In a dramatic turn in the ongoing public and legal dispute between Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh, Jyoti has made serious allegations of forced abortions, physical abuse, and emotional torture. She claims that on multiple occasions Pawan administered abortion pills to her without her consent and subjected her to relentless mistreatment when she protested. The actor has responded by denying outright the allegations, stating that only he, Jyoti, and God truly know their private struggles.

At a press conference on October 8, Jyoti Singh broke her silence amid the heated media coverage of their marital strife. She alleged that despite Pawan’s public statements about wanting children, he repeatedly gave her medication to terminate pregnancies. She said, “He says he yearned for a child, but a person who desires a child doesn’t give his wife medication.” She claimed that on speaking out, she was tortured so severely that she attempted to take her own life, consuming 25 sleeping pills at 2 a.m. According to her, during these episodes, his brother Ranu, a crew member Deepak, and an associate named Vicky intervened and took her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai for treatment.

Jyoti also stated that she had remained silent for years, but was forced to speak today to break free from the cycle of abuse. She denied any attempt to defame Pawan, insisting she was simply revealing the painful reality of her experience.

Later in the day, Pawan Singh held his own press meeting to share his perspective. He refrained from offering detailed rebuttals, saying, “How I behaved with her — only I, she, and God know that.” He acknowledged that Jyoti had come to meet him in Lucknow and that they had a discussion for about an hour and a half in the presence of his brothers Hrithik and Dhananjay. He denied calling the police, claiming that law enforcement was already present due to security arrangements, not at his behest. He also addressed public sentiment, stating that he holds his fans in high regard and would never hurt those who supported him.

The dispute has brought to light their longstanding legal entanglements. Jyoti has filed for divorce and is seeking maintenance in Ballia, while Pawan’s counter case is active in Arrah. The details of property division, compensation, and custody remain unresolved.

Observers note that this new set of allegations—relating to forced health interventions and violence—may complicate the ongoing legal battle, adding serious criminal and humanitarian dimensions to what was earlier a primarily civil marital dispute.
