Bengaluru: Karnataka’s capital city is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall throughout Thursday, September 25, 2025, with cloudy skies dominating the day.
The minimum temperature is expected to be around 21°C, while the maximum temperature will hover near 26°C, creating a mild and pleasant weather pattern across the city. Bengaluru witnessed sunrise at 6:09 AM, and sunset is expected at 6:15 PM.
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) issued a seven-day weather update on X (formerly Twitter), predicting “scattered to widespread moderate rain and isolated heavy rain with thundershowers and strong winds across the state from September 26 to 28.” The agency added that rain activity is likely to decrease in the following days.
Humidity levels are expected to remain high at around 88 percent, keeping the city damp, while the Air Quality Index (AQI) is predicted to stay near 30 — a level classified as “good” and safe for residents.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised residents to take precautions during heavy rain spells. Officials warned of possible electricity disruptions, minor traffic jams, and uprooting of weak tree branches. Citizens have been urged to stay indoors, secure doors and windows, and avoid unnecessary travel during intense showers.
This rainy spell is part of the Southwest Monsoon, which brings moisture-laden winds to South Asia between June and September.
The seasonal wind reversal is responsible for the majority of Karnataka’s annual rainfall, supporting agriculture but also occasionally causing flooding and transport disruption in urban areas like Bengaluru.
