Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, on a review visit to Bahraich district on Thursday, called on officials to work cohesively to strengthen the implementation of government schemes and expedite public grievance redressal.
Chairing a review meeting at the district collectorate, Maurya instructed SDMs, COs, and power department officials to conduct monthly tehsil-level meetings with public representatives to resolve local issues.
He directed the Chief Medical Officer to launch regular cleanliness campaigns at CHCs, PHCs, and health centres, warning that negligence would invite strict action. All government offices, he said, must hold monthly cleanliness drives with full staff participation.
Maurya reviewed the status of Ayushman Bharat card implementation, directing that all cardholders be provided timely medical services as per norms. He also asked officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply in forest-affected areas, carry out prompt transformer repairs, and follow power rosters strictly.
Addressing agricultural issues, he instructed that sufficient fertilizer stocks be made available and action taken against hoarding or overpricing. He further directed timely payment to sugarcane farmers and transfer of revenue staff posted in one location for over three years.
The Deputy CM also asked irrigation officials to fully utilize available resources and keep public representatives informed on tubewell operations.
Stressing innovation and accountability, Maurya urged timely grievance redressal and active monitoring of welfare schemes. He concluded by calling on all officials to work collectively toward the vision of a “Developed Uttar Pradesh.”
