Mumbai Weather Update: Light to Moderate Showers, Cloudy Skies, No Heavy Rain Alert

Mumbai witnessed scattered light rain showers early Friday morning, bringing some relief from the humid weather. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city will see an overcast sky throughout the day with intermittent light showers and a few moderate spells in isolated areas. However, there is no forecast of heavy or widespread rainfall, and no weather alert has been issued.

Daytime temperatures are expected to hover around 28°C, while the minimum temperature may settle at 25°C. Coastal winds will remain light to moderate, maintaining humid conditions across the city.

Neighbouring Thane and Navi Mumbai are likely to experience similar weather conditions, with cloudy skies and drizzle to moderate showers through the day. Night temperatures are expected to stay between 24°C and 25°C, adding to the damp and muggy feel.

In Palghar, skies will remain overcast, and rainfall will vary across different pockets — some may only receive light drizzle, while others could see moderate spells.

The IMD has confirmed that no heavy rain warning has been issued for the district, with maximum temperatures around 28°C and minimum around 25°C.

Further south along the Konkan coast, districts like Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg — which recently experienced heavy downpours — are expected to see a decline in rainfall intensity.

Light to moderate showers are likely, with cloudy skies persisting. Daytime temperatures could rise slightly to 29°C, while minimums will remain near 25°C. Winds in these regions may blow slightly stronger compared to Mumbai and Thane.
