On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday (September 17, 2025), a brand-new biopic on his life has been officially announced. Titled Maa Vande, the film will feature Marco actor Unni Mukundan in the role of PM Modi and will be directed by Kranthi Kumar CH.

The makers have confirmed that the biopic will be released in multiple Indian languages as well as in English, giving it a pan-India and global reach.

Unni Mukundan unveiled the first look of Maa Vande on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “A man’s story that rises beyond battles… to become a revolution for the ages 💥💥 #MaaVande it is ❤️ Wishing the Honourable Prime Minister @Narendramodi Ji a very Happy Birthday ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 May glory be revived and brighter things await (sic).”

The post quickly went viral, receiving love from fans across social media. Many users congratulated Unni for taking on such a significant role, with one fan writing, “This is a beautiful birthday gift that Modiji will never forget ❤️ Wishing you all the very best, U 👍🏻✨ This looks promising 👌🏻.”

Who is Unni Mukundan?
Unni Mukundan is one of the most popular actors in the Malayalam film industry and rose to nationwide fame with his performance in Marco. His portrayal of PM Modi is highly anticipated and is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the Prime Minister’s life story.

Other Biopics on PM Modi
This is not the first time PM Modi’s life has been portrayed on screen. In 2019, a film titled PM Narendra Modi, starring Vivek Oberoi and directed by Omung Kumar, was released but failed to impress critics and audiences, performing poorly at the box office.

The same year, a web series titled Modi: Journey of a Common Man, starring Aashiesh Sharma, received positive feedback from viewers.
