US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he had a “wonderful” phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which he extended birthday greetings and praised Modi’s leadership.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump revealed that Modi thanked him for supporting initiatives aimed at ending the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

Earlier in the day, President Trump personally called Prime Minister Modi to wish him on his 75th birthday. Modi, in response, shared a post on social media thanking Trump for his warm wishes and reaffirming India’s commitment to strengthening the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership.
“Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am also fully committed to taking the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights. We support your initiatives towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict,” Modi said.
Trump’s message comes as India and the US continue high-level trade negotiations in New Delhi. Both nations described the ongoing discussions as “positive” and “forward-looking,” signaling progress in strengthening bilateral economic ties.
