Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis extended warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, hailing his leadership as the driving force behind India’s transformation over the past decade.
Fadnavis praised Modi for taking India from the world’s fourth-largest economy to the brink of becoming the third-largest, calling this journey a testament to the Prime Minister’s vision and resolve.
Fadnavis highlighted Modi’s role in shaping a self-reliant India capable of standing firm against global economic pressures, including American tariffs. He credited Modi with landmark achievements such as the construction of the Ram Temple, abrogation of Article 370, ban on triple talaq, implementation of surgical and airstrikes, and the recently conducted Operation Sindoor.
He also pointed out the massive welfare schemes rolled out under Modi’s tenure, which brought over 250 million people out of poverty, provided 30 million homes, tap water to 150 million households, 12 crore toilets, and extended direct benefit transfers (DBT) worth ₹43.8 lakh crore to citizens.
The Maharashtra CM also lauded Modi for empowering women, farmers, youth, and the marginalized, as well as boosting India’s startup ecosystem, health infrastructure, and digital economy—making India responsible for nearly 49% of the world’s digital transactions.
He said that Modi’s leadership has elevated India’s global stature and strengthened its national security posture, citing the surgical strikes after Uri and Balakot airstrikes following Pulwama as defining moments of “New India’s” defense doctrine.
Fadnavis further praised Modi for his special focus on Maharashtra, highlighting key projects including the Indu Mill memorial, housing schemes, airport modernizations, metro rail projects, water conservation initiatives, and infrastructure investments worth ₹10 lakh crore.
He emphasized that Maharashtra has remained the top destination for foreign direct investment under Modi’s leadership.
Concluding his message, Fadnavis described Modi as a swayamsevak (volunteer) and karmayogi (dedicated worker) who makes decisions based on the national interest. He expressed gratitude for Modi’s guidance and wished him a long, healthy life to continue serving the nation.
