New Delhi: OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has joined hands with the Association for Reinventing School Education (ARISE) to introduce advanced AI tools and training programs for K-12 educators across India.
The initiative was unveiled during ARISE’s 8th Annual Education Conference, where a special Masterclass titled “Empowering School Education Through AI” was conducted.
The Masterclass, led by OpenAI, demonstrated practical ways teachers can use artificial intelligence to enhance lesson planning, boost student engagement, and personalize learning experiences.
The session emphasized that AI is not meant to replace educators but to act as a powerful ally, helping strengthen the teacher-student relationship.
The collaboration aims to provide structured training, awareness programs, and AI adoption guidance for ARISE’s network of schools. The focus remains on integrating technology responsibly while keeping pedagogy, ethics, and India’s diverse educational needs at the forefront.

Praveen Raju, President of ARISE Governing Board & Co-Founder of Suchitra Academy, remarked, “School education in India is on the cusp of a major transformation, and OpenAI is already playing a pivotal role in that journey. Its tools have made learning more accessible and classrooms more engaging.”
Raghav Gupta, Head of Education for India & Asia Pacific at OpenAI, added, “Our collaboration with ARISE allows us to work closely with India’s K-12 ecosystem. This partnership ensures that AI tools add meaningful value for teachers and students.”
Vinesh Menon, Director General & CEO of ARISE, called the Masterclass a “resounding success,” highlighting OpenAI’s ability to combine global tech leadership with customized solutions for India’s unique pedagogical needs.
With initiatives like this, ARISE and OpenAI aim to ensure that innovation in education is implemented thoughtfully, keeping students and teachers at the heart of the process.
