Mumbai woke up on Wednesday to clear skies, bright sunshine, and a breezy morning, bringing much-needed relief after weeks of heavy rainfall. The weather is expected to remain largely calm, though overcast skies and occasional light drizzles are predicted later in the day.
The city’s maximum temperature is likely to touch 30°C, while the minimum will hover around 25°C, making it a relatively smooth day for commuters and office-goers.
Neighbouring Thane and Navi Mumbai will also experience cloudy weather with scattered light showers in some areas. Meteorologists have ruled out the possibility of heavy rainfall, and the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 29°C and 30°C, with winds blowing at around 12 kmph.
In Palghar district, mild and humid conditions will prevail, with cloudy skies and occasional drizzle but no severe rainfall alerts. Temperatures are forecast to range between 24°C and 28°C.
Further south, the coastal districts of Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg—regions that were severely affected by torrential rains in July and August—are expected to witness lighter conditions.
While light showers may occur in some pockets, heavy rain is not on the radar. Daytime temperatures will stay between 29°C and 31°C, accompanied by gentle winds.
With the monsoon now entering a subdued phase, no fresh weather warnings have been issued for the Konkan region. For residents, this easing of rains signals a welcome return to normal routines, free from the disruptions of flooding and traffic snarls that marked the past several weeks.
